RCM put together an optional Bottom Metal Kit. The finest available without the hassle of piecing things together. We use the Hawkins Precision Remington Type Aluminum Bottom Metal, Wyatt Extended Magazine Box, RCM all machined Aluminum Follower, RCM Follower Spring. Our spring is completely tune able to achieve the amount of tension needed to allow perfect feeding. The follower has transitioning radius’s to allow all cases to align properly in the magazine box.

The RCM Action has the following custom features. 17-4 Stainless Steel hardened per H-900 Specs. and Nitrided. Receiver design is based on a Remington Type 700 action with the following changes. Extended mag box cut to accept the Factory Box or the Wyatt MB-3 Box. 1-1/16-18 Barrel Thread. (Print Provided) Feed Lips are designed to feed a 6.5 to any Ultra round. Receiver is same diameter front and back, No rear bridge. Extended Ejection Port to aid in ejection of longer rounds. 8-40 Scope Base screw holes with .125 hole between screw holes for pinned scope bases. External Bolt Stop, moved back to allow for the longer bolt stroke. Precision Ground Recoil Lug that is pinned to locate radially on the receiver. Bolt is made from ordnance grade steel with the following features. One piece bolt body, fluted, heat treated Ground O.D that is perpendicular to the back of the bolt lugs Badger Ordinance M16 style Extractor Bolt Handle is Dovetailed and Tig Welded to the body. Fluted Bolt Knob. Firing Pin is 17-4 S/S and can be field stripped RCM Short Action, Right Hand, Standard Bolt Face.
