The #18 LP is the correct locking piece for the G3K build. The locking piece is the timing mechanism that a delayed roller lock firearm uses to tell the firearm when to unlock and cycle. Having the right degree or “timing” is critical in the function and cycling of the HK roller lock firearm such as the  G3K.
